The current South Wales County team process for training, event preparation and team selection is as follows.

Identifying Players: The Team Manager identifies potential candidates and players epressing an interest in representing South WAles at the County Championships by:

• identifying previous years players

• national team candidates for a given team (driven by age category)

• liaising with coaches at Welsh padel venues

• liaising directly with venues

• canvasing senior players

Training and Selection: The Team Manager and seniors players faclitate training events for interested players, where

• new players can play alongside existing squad players,

• allow players to experiment with pairing

• execute drills

• allows Team Manager and (where applicable) Team Captain evaluate players for selection

Tournament Preparaton: Team players arrange pre-tournament training on an adhoc basis.

Coming Soon: Work is underway to develop a framework to integrate an ongoing developent programme that integrates with the Wales National Pael Pathway.
