National Player Coaching and Training Sessions

There will be four national training sessions per year, delivered by a team of coaches supporting Welsh players. Where space allows, sessions may be opened to additional players to support a broader range of emerging players. These sessions focus on delivering high-quality training and are not run for profit.

National Player Tournament Support

Coaches will attend selected tournaments to support Welsh players and, where feasible, help arrange informal team matches and other competitive opportunities.

Padel Coach Education, Player Growth and Venue Support

Welsh coaches and venues will be supported to develop, and a range of events will be held to help Tennis Wales grow the padel community. The growth of Welsh padel coaches will come largely from within the player base, and support will be provided to help increase both the number of coaches and players across Wales.

National Pathway Training Dates

Individual Player Responsibility

A key part of player development is competing against peers across Wales and the UK. For this reason, LTA graded tournaments are a core component of player development and linked strongly to the squad selection criteria. As the number of venues in Wales increases we are able to host a greater number of high level LTA Tournamens which have been summaried in the events calendar - which also includes key dates for International and County Tournaments.
